Preferences

Lately I do prefer writing here, because it really feels like free talk.. There's no “strict” topic and I can just write anything that comes to mind – well, not just anything.. “Almost anything” :–)

The fedi account is used more like a booster, than a content creation medium, while my blog and gemini log are a bit more technical (sometimes) or informative: I often post news about #wpn and things I do on the server.

misfin gemboxes are growing in number. They were 46 in April, and are 60 today.. I cannot say whether people are also actively using them, but it's fine nonetheless.

TINA aggregator for #Italian geminauts is available since April, when steko, the original author, decided to dismiss it and #wpn took over. Unfortunately there aren't many capsules indexed at the moment, guess we need to spread the #smallweb love a bit more.

I'm working on a little wiki, powered by our #cloud #seafile instance at #wpn.

It's only a page and some links right now, ahah, but I'm committed to bring it to life.. 🔜

It will explain what services we offer, both public and private (by registration or invitation), to compensate for the lack of those info on the main site, which only got links.

Shout-out to @kris@outmo.de because the idea came in by looking at their wiki 🙏

Yesterday evening and this morning I encountered 2 bugs in #seafile clients; #Windows desktop and #Android.

I have no clue why that is happening, no useful logs and everything else is working just fine, included web, #seadrive and #sea-cli

I'm honestly tired; if this won't resolve soon, I might go for #nextcloud, which is hopefully better supported and stable :(

Just a follow-up to my previous song. I have installed #docker. Again.

This time it is running with nftables firewall-backend and so far, so good. First set-up container was qbittorrent, to replace rtorrent, which has become a burden to maintain. Next up will probably be #seafile

Then, the moon.. 🌙(which, incidentally, looks like a banana)

Just finished setting up muc_banbot (an #XMPP bot used to moderate group chats) and added a few #WPN's rooms to it. Also enabled some of the protection features, like flooding and same message repetition.

Bot is working fine so far, a lot of stuff was added since I first tried it, but I haven't seen it in action yet – apart from adding a few old jids to the banlist.. Not that I'm eager to test it!!
